INTER HOUSE ANNUAL DECLAMATION COMPETITION
CELEBRATING STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT AND LITERARY ARTISTRY!
The annual Declamation Competition organized by the English Department took place on May 11th.
The event aimed to enhance students' public speaking skills and foster a love for literature and oratory skills .Two students from each house, specifically from Classes 9 to 10, delivered speeches or recitations of famous historical addresses. All attendees appreciated the students' efforts.

Vice Principal Mrs. Ritu Jain, in her concluding address, praised the students' dedication and encouraged them to continue participating in such activities to improve their public speaking abilities and overcome stage fright.
The Samanvaya House team, represented by Tanush Mittal IX and Anjali Gupta X secured the first position, while the Avantika House team, consisting of Anvi Rajawat IX and Avneet Kaur X achieved second place.
INTER HOUSE SINGING COMPETITION
STUDENTS SHOWCASE VOCAL BRILLIANCE
This year, the school unveiled a captivating addition to its inter-house activities: the Inter House Singing Competition held on May 8th, ‘24.
Students from various houses enthralled the audience with their singing prowess through motivational group songs. Judged on vocal quality, harmony, stage presence, and audience engagement, the competition culminated in celebrating the winners for their talents and the collaborative spirit fostered among the houses.

The Kaveesha House team, comprising Chitrangana Singh Rajawat VI A, Safa Khan VI A, Shaurya Vardhan Srivastava VI B(Instrument), Bharat Sharma VII A, Navya Patni VII A, Tammana Bano VII B, Mayank Saini VIII, Aastha Patel VIII, Shubhra Singh Rajawat IX, Nisha Kandpal IX, Samayara Bhatia X, achieved first position, while the Eklavya House team, consisting of Bhavya Verma VIA, Lakshita Bharadwaj VIA (instrument), Vedansh Changal VIA, Samyak Thakur VI B, Manya Sakhrani VII A, Trisha Khandelwal VII A, Aditya Sharma VII B, Sidhi Saini VII B, Aqsa Rehman VIII, Kamakshi Gupta- IX secured second place.

The event was further enriched by a special performance from Ms. Shivani Singh, the music teacher, who demonstrated professional skill and artistry.

GREENERY DAY
STUDENTS CULTIVATE RESPONSIBILITY AND ECO-CONSCIOUSNESS
This year, on the occasion of Greenery Day, May 4th, students were inspired by a thoughtful talk at the assembly that emphasized the importance of greenery and the role each individual plays in preserving our planet's natural resources.
​
As part of the festivities, each student was gifted a plant to inculcate a sense of belonging, responsibility, and commitment to a greener environment, as well as to nurture and care for living organisms. The students actively participated in planting trees and shrubs within the school premises, gaining practical knowledge of gardening and instilling a sense of pride and ownership in their contribution to the school's green initiative.

The Greenery Day celebration served as a reminder of the importance of environmental sustainability and collective action in combating climate change. The school remains committed to nurturing a generation of environmentally conscious individuals who will strive to make a positive impact on the world around them.
INTERNATIONAL DANCE DAY
STUDENTS DAZZLE WITH DIVERSE DANCE PERFORMANCES
Students performed on different genres of dance, showcasing the rich tapestry of cultures and movements that define humanity’s artistic expression at the International Dance Day celebrated with great enthusiasm on April 29th. ’24.
​
The traditional rhythms of Manjeera to the boundary-pushing choreography of Michael Jackson, the grace of ballet, and the raw energy of hip-hop performances vibrated the atmosphere with exceptionally well performances and sparkling music in the competition.
It inspired all to move, connect, and celebrate the joy of being alive. The performances were commended by all present.

The performers of Kaveesha House, Samayara Bhatia X, Arshiya Jain VII, Navya Patni VII, Yashi Jangid VII, Aradhya Choudhary VII, Kavya Tehleyani VI, Geashna Agarwal VI, Chitrangana Singh Rajawat VI brought laurels to their house by achieving first place. Meanwhile Iyara Jain VI, Lakshita Keshwani VII A, Divyanshi Jaimini VIII, Shaurya Saraswat VIII, Heeya Ratanchandani VIII, Anjali Gupta X, Kashish Parakh X, Somya Khatri X, brought second place honours to Samnvaya House.

MODEL UNITED NATION
Students Tackle Nuclear War Threat with Diplomatic Strategies
The Model United Nations (MUN) simulation was convened as a significant activity at Mayura School to discuss and devise strategies to mitigate the increasing threat of nuclear war, focusing on the involvement of key stakeholders – India, China, the USA, and Russia. The simulation aimed to provide school students with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities surrounding international relations and the gravity of nuclear war. Participants represented their assigned countries and discussed strategies to mitigate the increasing threat of nuclear war.
The student delegates of India, comprising Jai Sukhlani VIII, Arsh Ahmed IX, and Aditya Pratap Singh X emphasized the importance of diplomatic dialogue and non-proliferation agreements while advocating for regional stability and disarmament initiatives. The Chinese delegates, Aishna Kaur VIII, Anvi Rajawat IX, and Bhavya Khandelwal X stressed the need for mutual cooperation and the peaceful resolution of conflicts, highlighting the principles of mutual respect and sovereignty. The USA delegates, Mohammad Zaid VIII, Vidhi Sangtani IX, and Jheel Lodha X prioritized national security interests and defence capabilities while expressing willingness to engage in diplomatic negotiations to de-escalate tensions. The Russian delegates, Disha Saini VIII, Shubra Singh Rajawat IX, and Saransh Nirmal X advocated for multilateral disarmament agreements and strategic partnerships, underscoring the necessity of maintaining global stability and preventing arms races.
All delegates unanimously agreed on the necessity of diplomatic channels to address grievances and resolve conflicts, emphasizing open communication and mutual understanding. The MUN simulation provided students with valuable insights into the complexities of international diplomacy and the urgent need for cooperation in addressing the threat of nuclear war. By engaging in constructive dialogue and exploring diplomatic solutions, delegates demonstrated the importance of multilateralism and collaboration in safeguarding global peace and security.
Samanvaya House, representing the USA, scored the highest ranking through its mindful thought, speech, and presentation, followed by Eklavya House representing India, in the second position.

SCIENCE EXHIBITION
The Science Exhibition, an Inter House Project work activity for the year with the theme 'Conservation of Energy,' was held on 25th April and was commended by the esteemed chief guest, Mrs. Arshdeep Brar, the Deputy Commissioner of Nagar Nigam.
​
The students' efforts in designing projects such as the Piezoelectric device, Solar-Hydro Hybrid station, Solar car, Geothermal energy system, and Sustainable Cottage, among others based on solar energy, wind energy, and hydroelectricity, were highly appreciated. The remarkable array of ideas and initiatives underscored the students' dedication and creativity in addressing energy conservation.

Eklavya and Kaveesha houses were awarded first position, while Avantika and Samanvaya houses secured second position.
EARTH DAY
CLEANLINESS DRIVE
On Earth Day April 22nd, student volunteers cleaned Bhagat Singh Park as part of a significant Swachhta Abhiyan (Cleanliness Drive) collaboratively organized under the guidance of Jaipur Nagar Nigam to promote environmental awareness and community involvement in maintaining cleanliness.
Equipped with gloves, garbage bags, and other cleaning tools, 30 students removed litter and debris from the park. This hands-on activity not only helped beautify the park but also served as a practical lesson in civic responsibility and environmental care.

On this occasion, Mrs. Arshdeep Brar, the Deputy Commissioner of Nagar Nigam, addressed the student volunteers, emphasizing the importance of cleanliness and environmental stewardship. She highlighted the critical role of the younger generation in shaping a cleaner and greener future. She encouraged student volunteers to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives and to become ambassadors of change in their communities. Her motivating words set a positive tone for the event, inspiring participants to take proactive steps toward environmental conservation.
RAM NAVAMI
A Vibrant Celebration of Lord Rama's Life

The depiction of the life of Lord Rama, staged by the little stars of the Primary section during the Ram Navami celebration on April 16, was truly memorable, vibrant, and engaging. Meticulously prepared roles, supported by live musical performances, energized the atmosphere with thrill and excitement.
​
The kids, dressed in elaborate costumes representing the noble and righteous Lord Rama, devoted Sita, the valiant Hanuman, and the formidable demon king Ravana, brought the story to life with enthusiasm and flair.
​
Through a series of skits, songs, and dances, the students narrated key moments from Lord Rama's epic journey: from his princely upbringing to his exile in the forest, his encounters with various mythical beings, and ultimately, his triumphant return to Ayodhya after vanquishing the demon king Ravana.
​
The event was not merely a religious celebration; it was a testament to the school's commitment to holistic development, fostering creativity, confidence, and cultural awareness among its students. Their acting and singing talents, coupled with their understanding of the values and teachings embodied in Lord Rama's life, conveyed themes of loyalty, righteousness, courage, and compassion, imparting valuable lessons to the audience.
INTER HOUSE QUIZ-24
OUR CONSTITUTION
The Inter-House Constitution Quiz, focused on testing students' knowledge of the Constitution, was held on April 13, 2024.
The highlight of the quiz was the pictorial round, which featured historical figures, important documents, and symbols related to our Constitution.
The final round, comprising challenging jackpot questions, was specially designed to test the depth of students' understanding of constitutional principles. This round carried extra points and offered an opportunity for teams to secure victory.
All house representatives demonstrated excellent participation, showcasing their enthusiasm for constitutional knowledge.

Eklavya House, comprising team members Samriddhi Karamchandani VB, Lakshita Bhardwaj VI A, and Trisha Khandelwal VII A attained first position, followed by Avantika House as the runners-up, with Rudrakshi Sharma VA, Shubh Bhukhmaria VIA, and Diyaan Atreya VII A as their respective house representatives.

WORLD HEALTH DAY
INSPIRING STUDENTS TOWARDS HEALTHY LIVING
The school celebrated World Health Day on April 6th to raise awareness among students about various aspects of health, including physical, mental, and nutritional well-being.
​
The celebration began with a lively skit performed by students, highlighting the importance of a balanced diet. This captivating performance emphasized the significance of consuming a variety of foods to ensure proper nutrition and overall health.
​
Health and hygiene sessions were also conducted, including height and weight measurements for all students to promote awareness about maintaining a healthy body weight and height relative to age and gender. These sessions emphasized the importance of self-care, healthy living, and a healthy diet.
​
Teachers delivered informative presentations to educate students on the importance of a healthy diet, good lifestyle choices, mental well-being, stress management strategies, and maintaining good hygiene practices to prevent illness.
​
On the day, all students brought nutritious and balanced meals to school, showcasing a variety of healthy options, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins.
This celebration not only educated students about the importance of health but also fostered a supportive environment for them to adopt and maintain healthy habits.
NURTURING EDITORIAL SKILLS
STUDENTS SHINE BRIGHT!
Students of various category participated in Junior Editor Competition organised by ‘Dainik Bhaskar’ and result declared on March 31, 24. This competition, aimed at nurturing young talent in the field of editing and journalism, witnessed remarkable success from the students of Mayura School.
​
The Junior Editor 7 contest was held by the ‘Dainik Bhaskar’ team for the school students where nearly 4000 students from different states in India participated. Out of 20 participating students from our school, 4 students grabbed the position in three categories at the School Level.
In Category -1 class 4,5,6 - Baani Preet Kaur and Shaurya Vardhan Srivastav won at the school level.

In Category -2 class 7-8 - Ashmin Kumar won at the school level and,

in Category -3 class 9-10, Avneet Kaur won at the school level. Also at City Level, Avneet Kaur has been selected for third position and has been awarded a certificate and a smartwatch for her commendable performance. Her entry is selected for judgment at State level.
​
The diligent efforts and exceptional skills of the students from The School did not go unnoticed. These entries by the students stood out amidst stiff competition, reflecting their creativity, attention to detail, and command of language. The experience gained from working on the school's editor board – ‘Mayura's Aura’, undoubtedly played a crucial role in honing their editing abilities, giving them a competitive edge. The school E-magazine served as a catalyst for their success, offering a platform for students to refine their skills, express their creativity, and showcase their talents to a wider audience.
